LANDSCAPE 1978 – 1996

It may have been a coincidence that I got hooked on photography. While growing up I had spent a great deal of time drawing. At fourteen it was time to find a summer job, and I ended up at a professional photo lab. All the while I worked to learn everything about the photographic process, I used the landscape as a subject. First what was in my immediate vicinity – that is, as far as I could reach by bicycle. When I turned eighteen and obtained my driver’s license, it became easier to reach farther places and the landscape broadened. In the end I had covered the whole of the Halland province. The project lasted on and off for eighteen years, and in 2000 almost a hundred of the images were finally exhibited at the Art Museum, in Halmstad.
